A strategic location

Moka has a population of 26,000 inhabitants and is situated in an economic area that accounts for 40% of the workforce of Mauritius and 70% of its purchasing power. The area extends from the Freeport in the north of the capital to Curepipe.

Moka is central and accessible: close to the other main urban centres (Beau Bassin-Rose Hill, Port-Louis, Vacoas, and Curepipe), access to and from the region is made easy by a well-developed and reliable road network. More than 2000 employees work in Moka’s three business parks, and the city is home to the island’s largest commercial centre, the Bagatelle Mall, with its 96 shops and business hotel.

For startups, “La Turbine”, a co-working space and startup incubator, helps entrepreneurs develop their ideas into full-fledged projects. From economic dynamism to the promotion of entrepreneurship and development, many reasons make Moka Smart City the right place to do business!
